2018 VW CC Redesign, Specs, Changes, New, Release Date And Price
Passat CC was released for its first debut at 2008 Detroit Auto Show and it is the predecessor of 2018 VW CC. The big difference between Passat and CC was the sleeker appearance on CC with the support of its sweeping roofline. The facelifted CC has been produced for more than four years ago. Now, it is coming out with a big return. Our spy shots caught its test at Nurburgring with a lot of camouflage and padding. It can be seen that VW has serious work for its redesign.
2018 VW CC Exterior
First is about the shape of the hood. It seems that it will go with sharp body lines and toned down design to remove its awkward look, especially for its height. The hood seems to fold over at its nose with vertical tip. It also has all new headlight units that are smaller than the previous model. Volvo also adds two different LED strips to give more character to the front end. The radiator grille seems shorter than before and not too wide. When you see the sides, the new mirror units are added more upright with the same sweeping roof line and the front wheel arch is revised. The taillights are coming with the same shape but the exhaust outlets show its biggest change. 2018 VW CC has sporting dual rectangular units for each side and they are connected to the rear fascia for its new look. In short, the exterior has more aggressive and sportier design than the previous model.
2018 VW CC Interior
Based on the spy shots, there are no details for its luxury touch but it can meet your expectations. Some positive changes are added such as redesigned steering wheel, seats and instrument cluster. There is also TFT display in instrument cluster which is larger than the previous model. What we expect is the new 2018 VW CC should be equipped with larger infotainment system display located in the center stack. The dashboard hopefully will be replaced with more beautiful and cleaner look.
2018 VW CC Engine
When it comes to the drivetrain, this is the little interesting part. The current model in US market is designed with 2.0-liter four-cylinder to provide 200 hp or 3.6-liter V6 engine to produce 280 hp. Now, the new 2018 VW CC will go with the same platform as the Passat with the use of 1.8 liters to generate 170 hp or the current 3.6 liters for 280 hp. We think the car should go with more output to make it improved. It goes with front wheel drive configuration with six-speed DSG automatic.
2018 VW CC Release Date and Price
The current model is about $31,570 for the base and the higher model comes with $34,665 while the top model is about $44,355. It is still hard to estimate the new 2018 VW CC, but it should be available with the mild increase.
